WELCOME TO football first

I'm a Football Development Specialist. It's my aim to make each player I train a skilled & fully rounded football professional.

I’ve created this role because if we observe junior and senior players at any level, the first noticeable thing is the lack of technical competence. My role is to bring top level skills back into the game and show that skills are the cornerstone to success.

MY OFFER

  • SHOOTING techniques

A renowned goalscorer throughout his club and international career, Con has further refined his understanding of how to shoot and score since becoming a coach. The Football First curriculum gives this most fundamental and vital skill the attention it deserves, breaking down the many different shooting actions and techniques which allow a player to score from any situation.

  • Technical Skills

Con’s curriculum is based on the hypothesis that all technical skill is learned, that any weak area can be corrected and developed with targeted training, and that a professional footballer should be strong in all areas of technical skill, regardless of his usual position. Football First trains players who are never uncomfortable on the field or with the ball.

  • BIO MECHANICS Body movement

Relied upon heavily in other professional sports, the study of how athletes’ bodies move to create power and control is essential to turning star power into a teachable quality. By understanding the correct form for all skills at a fundamental level, coaches can help players build muscle memory so that success becomes second nature.

  • MENTORING

Con Boutsianis is a football educator and development specialist who has spent years working closely with youth players on their way to the most prestigious club academies. Becoming a great player requires levels of personal discipline and self-awareness which few young people possess at that point in their life; Con’s coaching offers a strong guiding voice to keep them on the track to stardom.

Technical Development Specialist_

Professional football has been my passion for decades, and it still is to this day. I have spent my life pursuing excellence across every role in and around the world game, because I cannot think of anything more worthy or more powerful than devoting yourself to the things you love. As a player, coach, and now educator through Football First, my attitude has been simple – do it, and do it right.

My close association with top coaching and sports science staff in other sports has helped me to identify the best uses of biomechanical theory and practice to enhance player development. By understanding the raw instinct possessed by great players, we can begin to follow in their footsteps.

I was hailed throughout my career as being a generational talent when it came to the dead ball. I attained this excellence the same way all great footballers do; through harder practice and deeper understanding of the process. I reveal the secrets of how to strike a winning free kick alongside the other skills in my curriculum.

As all observers of football know, some players are just more able to score at a top level than their counterparts. Being this sort of striker myself I have worked hard to break down my methods, and those of other stars, into reliable lessons which help players build their scoring skills and their understanding of when to use them..

MY TESTIMONIALS

In the week leading up to our Gold Coast United A-League fixture in Tasmania against my old club Melbourne Victory, Con worked very hard with me regarding my balance and technique when approaching the attacking 18-yard box. Being a defensive type player most of my career, he highlighted and then corrected some key dribbling and striking specifics such as body position, eye-line, supporting foot and ball contact areas which helped me score my first ever Professional goal to equalise in extra time.

I have had the pleasure of both playing with Con and now observing him as a coach! I only wish I could have benefited from his knowledge at a younger age. I am yet to come across anyone in all my football travels across the world who understands and can teach technique with such fluidity and execution. He is truly a professor of the art of technique!
